Last night, the Bobcats opened district with a dominating win over Miller Grove 19-7. The Bobcats were locked in the entire game and never trailed. A little fatigue and focus hampered the Bobcats in the 4th inning where Miller Grove scored all their runs, but outside of that inning the Bobcats dominated throughout.
Defensively, Colby Bain led the charge pitching with 8 strikeouts and really controlled the flow of the game until the 4th inning. Hayden Norman came in to get the final out of the 4th and shut the door in the 5th to wrap up the contest with a great pickoff move to 2nd base and then a strike out to end the game.
Offensively, every Bobcat that came to the plate got on base and scored at least one run. Jeremiah Davis had a big night at the plate going 3-3 with two walks, a triple, and 3 RBI's. Dalton Maynard got on base 5 times as well and scored 4 runs. Gavin Sulc had a big triple and Jason Jones also had a double that both came with 2 outs to score a couple of runs each.
The Bobcats will be back in action next Tuesday, 3/26/19, at North Hopkins.
