Yesterday the Cross Country kids went to Miller Grove for their first meet. The Jr High boys Cash Butler and Jaxon Goforth, both 7th graders, did pretty good, not as well as the run in practice, but I think nerves and the amount of boys that were in the race was a little overwhelming for both of them.

Brooklyn Brown ran in the JV division and came in 13 place out of about 40 runners. I was very proud of her; she was in the top 10 for about half the race, but got a stitch she couldn't get rid of and dropped a few places. Tanner Bumgardner ran the JV division and I believe the Jump to 3 miles instead of 2 caught up with him a little, but I was still proud of his effort.

I also want to tell Mrs. Hunt thank you for sending the new exchange students with us, it was nice getting to know those two boys. Thank you to Mary Bumgardner for going, too; they did a great job taking pictures.
