BOBCAT BAND 2009-2010


Awards and Accomplishments:

Most Outstanding 1A Band at The Frisco March of Champions 2 times. Most Outstanding 1A Band at the Cedar Creek Marching Festival, a Division 3 in UIL Marching Contest in 2007-2008, a Division 2 in UIL Marching Contest in 2008-2009, a Division 3 on stage at UIL Concert 2008-2009 , a Division 2 at UIL Sightreading 2008-2009, a Most Outstanding 1A band at Six Flags Over Texas, a Superior Performance Band in Branson Missouri, Attended the Area B Marching contest in 2007-2008.

Umm.....let's see, I attended Trinity Valley Community College for 3 years on a Band and Choir Scholarship. While at TVCC, I was a member of the Cardinal Regiment and head Drum Major for 2 years, a member of the Cardinal Singers, Dixieland Combo,  Wild Card Jazz Band, a recipient of Who's Who Among Americas Jr. College Students, and recipient of The Presidents Award and on the Dean's List.  I received my Associates Degree in Science. I attended Stephen F. Austin State University for 3 years on a Band and Academic Scholarship. During my time at SFA, I was a member of the Orchestra of The Pines, a member and officer of the Lumberjack Marching Band, a member of Alpha Chi, Tau Beta Sigma, a member and Historian of Mu Phi Epsilon, and on the Dean's List.  I received my Bachelor's Degree in Music and a Teaching Certification in PK-12 Music. I interned at Nacogdoches High School and student taught at Diboll High School.  Upon Graduation, I was hired at Fruitvale ISD. I have since become a member of the Athens Community Band, The Association of Texas Small School Bands, and Texas Music Educators Association. I teach Elementary music/general music classes, Band, Applied Music, and Music History.
