Joe Perritt

HRE School Counselor

Hello! I’m Joe Perritt, the school counselor at Hallie Randall Elementary School, and I’m ready
for an incredible 15th year in education. As a lifelong resident of Van Zandt County, I know
firsthand the strength and spirit of our community. I’ve been happily married for 23 years and
am proud to be a dad to four wonderful children and a grandparent to three beautiful
grandchildren.

I firmly believe that children are a gift from God, and it's essential that their lives are filled with
joy, laughter, and the right support.

This year, I am dedicated to helping every student
understand their powerful role in positively impacting society. We will work together to set
physical, social, and educational goals that will enhance their overall experience at school. By
fostering a culture of teamwork, our students will learn to uplift and encourage one another.

As Mother Teresa wisely said, “None of us, including me, ever do great things, but we can all do
small things with great love, and together we can do something wonderful.” If you have any
questions or concerns, I invite you to reach out to me directly. I am confident that Fruitvale ISD is
the best-kept secret in the Lone Star State, and together we will make this year outstanding!

Cristie Guy

Jr. High School Counselor

Hello. My name is Cristie Guy and it is my pleasure to have the opportunity to work with our Junior High Students. The 2004/2025 school year is my 22nd in education and 14th as a school counselor.  I met my husband, Israel, in High School and we are the proud parents of 3 children: Ashton, Caleb, and Issie. My goal is for students to know that my office is a safe place to talk about difficult things. This is the same for parents and faculty as well.  I believe that students

cannot give their best to the academic piece of education if their social, emotional, and mental needs are not being met.

Amanda Masterson

High School Counselor

Hello! My name is Mrs. Masterson and I am in my 25th year in education and this will be my 14th year as a School Counselor. I have been married to my husband Zach for 25 years.  We have two children, a daughter in love and a grandchild on the way.  Anyone that knows me knows my loves are family, Tarleton State, STARS hockey, reading and spending time at the beach.

I love being a high school counselor. Being able to watch my students achieve their goals and finding their happiness makes this worthwhile.

My role is to provide support to my students in academics and social emotional learning. My door is always open to parents, students and teachers. I will do my best in helping find community support for you.
