The Fruitvale Bobcats took on Fannindel on Friday night, the boys played great defense and fought all the way to the end. Down 3 starters, the boys played all 4 quarters with a team that was in the State quarterfinals last season.
The game started out with great defense back and forth from both teams. Fannindel picked up a touchdown early in the game, but the Bobcats answered quickly with a 20 yard pass from Kaleb Coleman to Ronnie Foster that was generously fumbled to his teammate, CJ Russell, for a quick scoop and score. After a costly fumble led to another Fannindel touchdown, the boys held their own and went into halftime down 12-8.
After halftime, the boys had just simply ran out of gas. The final score was 39-8 in favor of Fannindel, but if you attended the game on Friday, you know the scoreboard does not reflect the game.
I appreciate everyone's support at our game. You all are the greatest fans that we could ask for. I also want to give a big thank you to Wallie and Michael for all the work that they do on the field and the school. The Bobcats will be back in action this THURSDAY night against Christian Heritage at 7:30 in Fruitvale.
